Vacuum Pump/Vacuum Generator: The core power source. A vacuum pump (electric) generates continuous negative pressure by evacuating air; a vacuum generator (pneumatic) uses compressed air through a venturi tube to create an instantaneous vacuum, more commonly used in industrial material handling due to its fast response and maintenance-free operation.

Vacuum Suction Cups: The part that directly contacts the sheet material. Customized according to the sheet material, they come in various materials (e.g., silicone, polyurethane, nitrile rubber) and shapes (flat, corrugated, elliptical), selectable based on the sheet surface (smooth, rough, porous). When handling large sheets, a suction cup frame composed of multiple suction cups is used to distribute the force.

Mechanical Structure Systems:
Cantilever Type: A rotating, lifting, and telescopic robotic arm, highly flexible, with a wide coverage area, suitable for loading and unloading single or multiple machine tools.

Gantry/Bridge Type: A frame structure similar to a gantry crane, moving in the X/Y/Z directions, suitable for handling oversized and heavy sheets or entire stacks with extremely high precision.

Column-type/Articulated Robotic: Compact structure or higher degrees of freedom, suitable for handling in complex workstations.

How does it handle sheet metal?

The entire process is usually fully automated. A typical loading and unloading cycle is as follows:

Positioning: The equipment moves the suction cup frame above the material stack (or loading platform) according to instructions.

Descent and Attachment: The suction cup frame descends, allowing the suction cups to smoothly attach to the sheet metal surface.

Adsorption: The vacuum valve opens, and the system quickly evacuates the air from the suction cups, creating negative pressure to firmly "suck" the sheet metal.

Lifting and Transfer: After confirming a firm attachment (via a vacuum sensor), the lifting mechanism lifts the sheet metal, and a robotic arm or gantry precisely moves it to the target location, such as the workbench of a laser cutting machine, punch press, bending machine, or another material stack.

Placement: Upon reaching the designated position, the vacuum valve closes, while the "vacuum" valve briefly opens to blow in air and release the negative pressure, separating the suction cups from the sheet metal. The equipment returns to the standby position, awaiting the next instruction.

1. Standard Packaging Method: To ensure the safety of the equipment during transportation and avoid impacts, rust, and moisture, we use the following standard packaging:

Inner Protection: Exposed precision components, instruments, motors, etc., are tightly wrapped with bubble wrap and stretch film. Stainless steel surfaces are usually covered with protective film.

Stable Fixing: The main body of the equipment and its detachable parts (such as independent control boxes, spare filters, etc.) are securely fixed to a sturdy wooden base or pallet to prevent movement within the box.

Outer Packaging Box: Fumigation-free wooden boxes made of sturdy wood (such as solid wood or plywood) are used. The wooden boxes have sufficient strength and airtightness to effectively prevent shock, moisture, and dust. Empty spaces inside the box are filled with foam board, cardboard, etc.

1. Labeling: The exterior of the packaging box will clearly display the equipment name, model, order number, gross/net weight, dimensions (length, width, height), center of gravity, lifting and stacking markings, internationally recognized symbols such as "Upwards," "Fragile," and "Keep Dry," as well as the consignee's information.

2. Transportation Methods: Based on the customer's geographical location, delivery time requirements, and the size and weight of the equipment, we provide flexible and reliable transportation solutions:

International Transportation:

Sea Freight: Suitable for long-distance, large-volume transportation with less stringent time requirements. Equipment is loaded into containers (20ft/40ft), and door-to-port or door-to-door service is available.

1. What are its advantages compared to traditional magnetic lifting or mechanical clamps?

Wide Material Compatibility: Suitable for any flat, dense, and airtight material (non-magnetic, non-metallic), such as stainless steel, aluminum, glass, and stone.

Workpiece Surface Protection:Non-contact clamping (suction cups are usually made of rubber or polyurethane) effectively avoids scratches, marks, or magnetic contamination, making it particularly suitable for sheet materials with high surface finish requirements.

Flexible and Efficient Operation: Allows for rapid handling of single or multiple sheets simultaneously, and 90° or 180° rotation, significantly reducing labor intensity and improving safety.

2. Is vacuum handling suitable for my sheet material?

It mainly depends on the surface condition and air permeability of the sheet material. The surface must be relatively flat, clean, and free of excessive pores or oil stains. Porous materials (such as porous concrete slabs or rough wood panels) may require special porous suction cups or reduced load requirements. Extremely thin, flexible sheets (such as thin aluminum foil) may become difficult to seal due to deformation.
